The prime 2-year-old of the Central Inspection 2022 was also crowned Overall Youngster Champion on Friday the 16th of September: Nine fan ’t Reidfjild (Tiede 501 x Take 455) took off with the highest honour. Reserve Champion 2-year-olds was Olga v/d Bokkefarm (Jehannes 484 x Beart 411).
Appealing breeding type and active hind leg
Also thanks to her appealing breeding type and active hind leg, Nine was elected Overall Youngster Champion by Jury member Jolanda Slootjes. This 2-year-old, bred by L. Wiersma in Damwoude and in ownership of Stoeterij Galloper in Berkel en Rodenrijs, already had a good reputation but as yet, still had to live up to the expectations. ‘Then it’s a matter of making it happen because you never know how the inspection is going to turn out, but fortunately she pulled it off!’ proud owner Joey Lems remarked.
Four 2-year-olds in Champion ring
Along with Nine and Olga, the latter bred and owned by Cor and Nel Beentjes from Heiloo, the other two candidates that also received an invitation to show themselves in the Champion ring were Mintsje fan Wettersicht (Omer 493) and Maaike van ’t Kempke (Tymen 503).
