First Friesian foal of 2021 born in Ohio, United States

At 3 minutes past 12 on January 1, 2021, a colt was born at Snyder Performance Horses in St. Paris, Ohio, United States. It seems that this is the very first Friesian foal of 2021 “He is perfect”, says owner Madeline Snyder. “This is the most beautiful New Year’s Day surprise ever.”

Foal full of champion genes

The sire of the colt is the champion of the Stallion Show 2020: Matthys 504. His mother is the full sister of Grand Prix stallion and Horse of the Year Elias 494: Heddeke of the Demro Stables Ster Sport AA. Ten-year-old Heddeke is therefore a daughter of the recently deceased Jorn 430 out of Maaike Brechtsje D. Kroon Sport Prestatie AA (Maiko 373). Heddeke arrived in the United States barely two months ago and gave birth to her fourth foal with this colt.
