FRIESIAN PROMS 2022 cancelled

The FRIESIAN PROMS which were planned on January 13 and 14, 2022 in the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden are cancelled. The organizing parties, the KFPS and the Faderpaard Foundation, have taken this decision together. Everyone who has bought tickets will soon be notified to redeem them for the edition in 2023, on January 12 and 13. The Stallion Inspection continues. Whether that happens with or without an audience depends on government measures.

More enthusiasm than two years ago

The KFPS and the Faderpaard Foundation regret that the decision to cancel the FRIESIAN PROMS 2022 had to be made, but the developments surrounding Covid-19 make it necessary to postpone the event for a year. The preparations had started with much enthusiasm and the first tickets sales exceeded the sales of two years ago. Therefore, it took a long time to make the decision ‘whether or not to continue’ the FRIESIAN PROMS. After the cancellation of the 2021 edition, many people hoped to be able to visit the Friesian horse festival in the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden next January. However, the reality is that it’s not responsible to organize a major event given the current situation around Covid-19.

Clarity preparation

For everyone busy with the preparations for the FRIESIAN PROMS, there is now – more than six weeks before the dates – clarity. About 250 people work in front of- and behind the scenes to shape the two special concert shows. We hope that the commitment can be taken on board for the next edition, the FRIESIAN PROMS 2023.

A Stallion Inspection

The Stallion Inspection 2022 will take place. Soon, the KFPS will consider whether this will proceed with or without an audience. The board hopes to provide clarity on this as soon as possible.
