KFPS Studbook stallion Eise 489 Sport Elite AAA is going to America. This was announced at the stallion show in Harich on Saturday the 8th of April, where Eise 489 together with his ‘mate’ Jurre 495 received a standing ovation during their last joint presentation in the long lines. Next week owner Jelmer Chardon is going to reveal the identity of the new owner. It’s already known that the stallion will be stationed at Wim Cazemier’s station.
Fourfold Champion Studbook Stallion in front of the Sjees
The 14-year-old stallion of Chardon Stables has a huge roll of honour, especially in showdriving. He has won the Silver Bowl a stunning four times. In 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 he won the Championship Studbook Stallions in front of the Sjees. The stallion, who was bred by the De Vries family from Hindeloopen, was elected Horse of the Year 2016. As recently as last year Eise 489 made furore in the long lines at the Friesian Proms, at the Stallion Inspection and the KWPN with stable mate and fivefold SI Champion Jurre 495. In the previous year they made it to Champion in two-in-hand and tandem formation.
Eye-catching in the harness, strong under saddle
This Maurits 437 son out of a Star Preferent Performance mare by Olof 315 harks back to pedigree 15 and was approved as a 6-year-old in 2015. He mainly owed his referral to the Central Examination to his performances in the harness. His feats include the Reserve Champion Title in the Pavo Fryso Cup in 2015. In the CE he achieved his highest score of 85 in driving, but with 84.5 points he also impressed under saddle. With Marsja Dijkman in the saddle he is active in the Heavy Tour.
Amiable personality
His first crop of 3-year-olds was presented in 2020. Here he made an excellent impression both during inspections as well as in the ABFP Tests. He is one of the strongest sires for the characteristic trot. His offspring also stand out with their extremely pleasant personalities. Including 2022 Eise 489 has almost 850 stud services to his name. He has five offspring that have been declared Crown and three have acquired the AAA predicate. Eise 489 positively completed the Progeny Test in 2021 and so has received permanent approval.
