Edon van Groot Altena Star (Julius 486) with her rider Corina van den Bunt and Coco WE (Hessel 480) with Esther Postmus have qualified for the second observation training round in the selection procedures for the WC Young Dressage Horses.
Six Friesian horses in Ermelo
Last Monday April 11th and Tuesday 12th, six combinations with a Friesian horse appeared in the ring in Ermelo during the first observation training, which also counted as the first selection moment. There should have been seven combinations but unfortunately Britt Muis was ill and consequently she and her It’s Britt’s Ernst (Markus 491) were forced to stay at home.
KWPN brilliance
Martha van der Meulen took part with Elbrich fan ‘e Herdershoeve Crown AAA (Jehannes 484): ‘After having seen the starting list with well-known names in dressage I was hit by a spot of uncertainty. Is this the place to be with a Friesian horse among all that KWPN brilliance? But with all the enthusiastic people supporting us we gave it our best shot and I properly enjoyed Elbrich.’ The participating ‘Friesian’ combinations were a mix of finalists in the Pavo Fryso Cup and those who were selected during the first intake in early March.
