4-year-old Atze selected for CE in the US

September 24, 2020

The 4-year-old Julius 486 son Atze has been referred to the Central Examination in the USA. Atze, bred and still owned by Pier and Darlene van der Hoek from Helm (California), was referred at last year’s selection round in the US. In the course of last summer the Stallion Inspection Jury assessed him three times under saddle by way of video footage, in line with the Presentation Days in the Netherlands. That makes Atze the first Julius 486 son to take part in the CE. His dam is the 8-year-old first-premium Star mare Maaike (Tsjalle 454), who in 2015 was the number one on the list of breeding values Friesian mares. Maaike is a full sister of Juwiel fan Lutke Peinjum Model Sport AA, who was recently declared Model. Van der Hoek purchased their dam Hawar fan Lutke Peinjum Star Pref*6 A (Jasper 366) in 2012, in foal by Tsjalle 454, which resulted in the birth of Maaike. Via Unyk fan Lutke Peinjum Star Pref*6 (Brandus 345) and Ealfrou fan Lutke Peinjum Star Pref*8 (Melle 311) this excellent dam line leads to the famous dam of the Preferent Beart 411: Setske F Star Pref Performance *13.

Because of Corona measures (the US are still closed to people from the Schengen countries) it is unclear when the Performance Test can get underway.
