Grand Prix Mare Ebony (Beart 411) big Surprise of the Central Inspection in America

The 11-year-old mare Ebony (Beart 411) and her rider Janine Little gave a demonstration Grand Prix freestyle at the Central Inspection on USA´s East Coast. For Jury members Louise Hompe and Corrie Terpstra this mare was a huge revelation. ‘A beautiful mare with fantastic movement’, is Hompe´s opinion, ‘and it never even occurred to the owner to take her mare to an inspection. We have strongly advised her to do so.’

Ebony´s owner is the Canadian Shawneen Jacobs. Also Canadian is her breeder Wybo Vanderschuit, who gave Ebony the name of Beval. He bred Beval out of Brieske van de Lievendaal Star (Fabe 348). Shawneen Jacobs had intended to ride Beval herself when she bought her in 2014. Ebony is my first Friesian mare. I had always been charmed by Friesian horses because they are not only beautiful but also because they are intelligent and keen to work with you. I gave Beval the sport name Ebony and my instructor Janine Little started schooling her. Janine was convinced Ebony had the talent for higher dressage. Since then Janine has been competing Ebony in dressage. Last summer they launched themselves in the Grand Prix.’
