Today Walt 487 (Gjalt 426) flies to the United States where he will find a new home at Black Rock Friesians in California. Sybren Minkema is having mixed feelings about Walt 487´s departure: ‘He will be thoroughly missed here in this yard. Age Okkema of De Mersken Stables has acted as a go-between and has assured me that Walt will find a wonderful home with his new owners. Here in the Netherlands Walt and his rider Hennie Roffel have reached the highest level in dressage, the Grand Prix. The new American owners are also planning to compete him in the sport.’
